It's a girl - 09/03/12

Here is Elder Brett's week in a nutshell:
This week was pretty cool. We´ve had our fair share of trials for the week. We woke up today to find out that all of the power outlets don´t work. It made cooking breakfast interesting. We also didn´t have any toilet paper, so that made my morning even better. And then there wasn´t any water. I love Honduras. I was really happy that I was able to laugh it off and not get too stressed out over it.

In other news, our recent convert, "GA", had her baby girl this week. She headed in last Monday and had a C section. Thankfully everything went great! They have a healthy happy little girl. They named her Alma Valentia, and she is the cutest little thing.

My companion and I have been waking up at 5:30 to go and run. I actually feel a lot better now, and it sure beats the heck out of situps and pushups. And, it hasn´t affected my studies, and I´m not sleeping during the day, which is a big relief. Just another testimony to me of the importance of taking good care of our bodies. There is so much more to the Word of Wisdom than not drinking beer or coffee.

We have two baptisms planned for this Saturday. We are planning on baptizing Sisters' "F" and "N". Hopefully everything turns out great and we can finish this transfer with baptisms.

Oh yeah, this is the last full week of this transfer! Time is going by way, way, way, too fast. I remember starting this transfer and feeling overwhelmed and inadequate. Now here we are 6 weeks later, and I feel like a completely different person. But I feel like this past 6 weeks went by in the blink of an eye.

I love you guys a ton, and I hope the best for everyone who is starting up school. Take care!

Elder Hansen
